About me

Hi, I’m Vibs.

A little about me and my journey.

I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. When I was in my teens, I moved to New York as an Au Pair. Then, in 1967, I got my first real job with Pan Am Airlines that launched me around the world.

I moved to San Francisco in the late 60s and fell in love with it, I lived there until I laid down my roots on Kings Mountain around 1970. Kings Mountain became my forever, home for its tranquility. It is here that I first started experimenting with Art.

The early days were at Ardyth Woodruff's house in 1974 with a little group, painting in her downstairs studio. After a child rearing pause, I picked up painting again in 1985 with a Russian artist, Olga Parr, whom I studied under for years.

My very first art show was around 1990 in the Mountain Folk section of the Kings Mountain Art Fair, where I have been showing most every year since.

I have had showings in Saltaire, Fire Island, N.Y., Newark, CA, San Mateo Fairgrounds, Mountain Made, The Open Studio in Burlingame, The Woodside Library, and the San Mateo Historical Museum in Redwood City, CA. I have even shown my watercolors back in Copenhagen.

It's all A dream come true! Thank you for visiting!
